These terms cover gis.dhanypedia.com: the public site of GeoMatra and the trial workspace on it. The site is run by Dhany Yudi Prasetyo ("I").
An organisation that gets its own GeoMatra instance agrees its own contract with me. That contract, not this page, applies to that instance.
What the site is
The public pages and the open maps can be used by anyone. The workspace, where data is uploaded and maps, analyses and dashboards are made, needs an account. Accounts are given by invitation.
Your account
An account is for the person who was invited. Keep the password to yourself and tell me if you think someone else has used the account.
An access key opens the closed layers you may see to other software. Treat it like a password: keep it to yourself and remove it when it is no longer needed.
I may disable an account that breaks these terms, that puts the site at risk, or whose trial has ended.
Your data
What you upload stays yours. You give me only the permission needed to store it, process it and show it to the people you choose.
New datasets are closed: they are seen only inside the workspace, by the people the folder is shared with. You decide what to publish on a public map and which web services to open.
Upload only data you are allowed to use. Do not upload data about people unless you have a lawful reason to hold it, and do not upload secrets or classified material: the trial workspace is not the place for them.
The trial
The trial is free and meant for trying GeoMatra with your own data. I make no promise about availability during a trial and I may end it.
When a trial ends, or when you ask, I delete your account and the data you uploaded. Download what you want to keep before that.
What is not allowed
- Uploading or publishing anything unlawful.
- Trying to break, overload or get around the access controls of the site.
- Collecting other people’s data from the workspace.
- Reselling or lending out a trial account.
Data and services of others
Background maps, reference layers, place search and routing come from other providers and keep their own licences, which the map credits name. If you reuse them outside this site, their terms apply to you.
The background maps and the satellite imagery on this site (CARTO, Esri, OpenStreetMap) are here for viewing and for trying the site. Their providers limit some uses, commercial use among them. An installation made for an organisation draws background maps that organisation is licensed for: its own subscription, or open sources.
Relief comes from open elevation data (Terrain Tiles on AWS Open Data) and city buildings from OpenStreetMap.
Examples on this site
The maps on the public pages are examples. The deforestation check is a screening aid built on open reference data: it supports due diligence and does not replace it. Models and data marked as illustrative do not describe real buildings, companies or sales.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is. I work to keep it correct and available, but I do not guarantee that it is free of errors or always reachable, and results of analyses should be checked before decisions rest on them.
As far as the law allows, I am not liable for indirect loss, lost profit or lost data that follows from using the site. Keep your own copy of anything important.
Changes
I may change these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and account holders are told by email about changes that matter.
