Your spatial data in 2D, in 3D and in dashboards.
GeoMatra is one catalog for an organisation’s geospatial data, and the tools to turn it into things people open: maps, 3D scenes, analyses and dashboards. Every layer is served through open standards, so QGIS and ArcGIS read what the browser shows.
Maps from this site, open to everyone.
Each one is the real map, with its layers, its legend and the card that opens when you click a feature. Run one in its frame, or open it in a tab of its own.
- Layers, legend and every attribute (2D map, Riau, Sumatra): Catalog layers styled in the browser, with a legend and the attributes of every feature you click. This map shows tree cover loss in Riau since 2020, as one example of what a team publishes.
- Building models in their city (3D buildings, Kemayoran, Jakarta): IFC models stand on the globe among the buildings around them. Click a room for its type, floor area and status, or colour a tower by any of them. The models on this map are illustrative.
- A building, storey by storey (Digital twin, Pekanbaru, Riau): Open the roof, cut the building at any storey, or show the rooms alone. Each of the 64 rooms of this office is a feature with its own attributes, so a building is searched and coloured like any other layer.
- An aerial scan at its real place (Reality capture, Karangkidul, Semarang): A Gaussian splat scan keeps roofs, trees and streets as the camera saw them. This one covers about 700 metres of central Semarang and lies on the globe where it was flown, next to the other layers.
Maps that tell a story.
A story leads the reader through a map chapter by chapter. The view moves, layers change, and a building opens floor by floor. A flat map can be tilted over its relief; models and scans are told in the 3D scene.
What your team does in the workspace.
Catalog
Every file you upload becomes a layer with a page of its own: attributes, style, legend and service addresses. Vector data is stored in PostGIS, rasters become cloud-optimised GeoTIFFs. Folders, tags and search keep the catalog findable, and each folder is shared with everyone, with named people or with nobody.
Reads: Shapefile, GeoPackage, GeoJSON, KML, CSV, GeoTIFF, IFC, Gaussian splat (PLY)
Maps
Compose a map from catalog layers, set colours and labels in the browser, and publish it under its own address. The same map opens flat or on a 3D globe.
On a map: Layer panel, Legend, Feature cards, Search, Measure, Room filter for buildings
Analysis
Run spatial analysis without a desktop GIS. Every result is a new catalog layer that records the tool, the settings and the inputs that made it.
Tools: Overlay, Buffer, Nearest, Zonal statistics, Spatial join, Select by location, Service area by road, Closest by road
Dashboards
Put numbers, charts, tables and a map on one page, built on any catalog layer. Click a bar or a row and the other widgets filter to it. Share a dashboard by link or print it as a report.
Widgets: Number, Bar and line chart, Donut, Table, Map
Open a layer, and your GIS software reads it.
A layer whose web services you open is published as WMS, WFS and OGC API. Paste the address into QGIS or ArcGIS and you work with the same layer the browser shows, without exporting a file. A layer you keep closed has no address outside the workspace.

Try it with your own data.
Write to me and I open a trial account for you on this site. Upload your own layers, build a map and a dashboard, and judge whether GeoMatra fits your team. The trial is free.
When it fits, I set GeoMatra up for your organisation on a server of its own, with your data, your address and your logo.
